2.1 millionth Youtube Viewer

Today Saturday, 2nd May 2009, time 10:04am (UK time), the Official Silat Suffian Bela Diri Youtube Channel www.youtube.com/maul565 has reached more than 2.1 million viewers (2,108,066 to be exact) with 2,380 subscribers worldwide and an average of 5 stars.

My youtube channel hit its 1 millionth viewer on the 3rd March 2008 after 2 years of my 1st post on the 3rd March 2006. I have not checked my youtube counter for awhile and to find that it had passed the 2.1 millionth mark a year after is just unbelievable.

Using http://www.statcounter.com/, at the same time this website since my 1st post on the 29th January 2009 to this date has reached a total of 47,312 hits; that's an average of 15,770 hits per month in its 1st 3 months. This was after transferring from my old site (http://www.silat-suffian.blogspot.com/) to this new one.

FREEDOM OF VIEWS

My journey to promote silat is open for all to see on my youtube and read from this website. Unlike some youtube channels, people are open to write any comments on my youtube without me censoring them, even how it irritates me at times; I only delete those who promote racism and religious hatred. To me people are free to say what they want, positive or negative as long as they limit it to martial arts training and their views about martial arts. And to date I have managed not to be be emotionally involved with silly comments.

MY APPRECIATION

In my journey I have made long life friends from all over the world. Most I have regarded as family.

I would like to thank everyone who has constantly supported Silat Suffian Bela Diri either directly and indirectly.

On this note I would like to thank all the group leaders and independent organizers for their effort to organize and promote SSBD seminars in their country/areas.

To all the training groups all over the world, thank you.

I would also like to thank all those who has constantly attended my private gatherings and seminars in different locations, a few names I would especially like to mention are Juan Moreno, Christian Velici, Evi, Joseph, Grant Scruggs, Siomak, Dimas Alfaruq, Badr, Henk etc who travelled and drove hours to attend most of my seminars in different countries. To Sixt and Roland for their support since the 1st seminar in Germany. To the Goshinkwai Yawara boys who never misses a session in Wales. I really appreciate every ones efforts and support. My apologies if I miss anyone.

I would like to personally thank my brother, Carlo Andreis and the Andreis family; without his belief Silat Suffian Bela Diri would never be what it is today. Thank you brother.

SINCERE APOLOGIES

I would like to convey my sincere apologies for the individuals and groups of people who has sent me emails of enquiries, emails of support and encouragement.

As I am managing a major part of SSBD worldwide, in regards to the amount of emails that I get every week, I get an average of 55 to 60 emails a week. Due to my constantly travelling around the world, I would like to kindly ask for your understanding and patience if I do not or am late to reply to your emails.

To help get your answers faster, if you have any enquiries about SSBD seminars, study groups or trainin groups in your country or close to your area, please email the independent organizers or group leaders close to your country or area. They will help accomodate your enquiries. But please also be patient as most of them are not full-time martial artists, they have other responsibilities as well.

Adalah untuk pengetahuan semua, Silat Suffian Bela Diri pada masa ini bukanlah di bawah PERSIB (Persatuan Silat Brunei Darussalam).

Silat Suffian Bela Diri pada masa ini adalah di dalam "proses perundingan" untuk mendaftarkan nama ke PERSIB (Persatuan Silat Brunei Darussalam). Pada awal tahun 2009, iaitu pada bulan Januari, saya Maul Mornie telah pun membuat perjumpaan dan perundingan dengan Pg Hj Mohammad (President PERSIB) termasuklah dengan Pg Hj Jaludin (Secretary General PERSIB) dan Pg Karim (Tresurer PERSIB). Ini adalah perjumpaan pertama kali bercakap mengenai pendaftaran.

Oleh kerana jadual saya sangat padat mengajar di luar negara, process ini mengambil masa yang lebih lama dari yang di harapkan. Saya juga meminta pihak yang tertentu untuk bersabar dan memberi tolak ansur yang sepatutnya di dalam proses ini.

Hasrat saya di dalam membuat kenyataan ini adalah supaya tiada pihak yang cuba untuk mengelirukan cerita yang boleh memburukkan nama saya dan nama keluarga, atau cuba untuk melambatkan lagi proses pendaftaran.

Kita mestilah bersifat professional untuk memajukan lagi Tradisi Silat Brunei Kitani ke mata dunia. Sebagai orang Brunei kita mesti lah tolong menolong memajukan satu sama lain.
